At its July 16 special called meeting, the Marshall County Fiscal Court approved a series of personnel actions and payroll adjustments. Motions recorded in the minutes include wage increases retroactive to July 1, 2026 for Lindsey Dixon ($16/hour), Jesse Hicks ($30.90/hour), Barry Howell ($29.36/hour), Mackenzie McDonald ($24.72/hour), Tara Martin ($26.78/hour), Noah Jackson ($22.66/hour) and Jo Lynn Colson ($22.66/hour). The court also approved a new seasonal Road Department hire, Raymond Claypool at $15/hour effective 7/16/2026, and recorded earlier June hires and wage changes read by Deputy Judge Andrew Pagel.
The court approved a bank transfer and payment of bills by motion, with unanimous recorded votes. Commissioner McGuire moved and Commissioner Collins seconded a motion to go into executive session to discuss litigation and personnel under KRS 61.810 (1)(c) & (f); the court voted to enter executive session, later reconvened in open session and then adjourned. The minutes do not disclose actions taken in executive session.
