Council updates cemetery rules and reports library progress; Easter event drew 250 people

Council Member Brandon Rees moved and the council approved a revision to the Cemetery Resolution (2026-03, revised from 2025-02) that adjusts plot dimensions. Council Member Brian Smith reported ongoing sprinkler improvements in the cemetery and said staff are evaluating land west of the cemetery for possible expansion.
Smith also updated the council on the town library: shelving has been secured, books are being organized, and staff are considering adding a small water softener and heater and reviewing hours and a potential part-time position. Smith reported the Easter Egg activity attracted about 250 people and that approximately 1,500 eggs were handed out.
