Resident Imre Solyom raised concerns that heavy trucks are damaging 2nd West. In response, the council directed staff to investigate options with North Sanpete Disposal to reduce the trucks’ footprint on town roads by roughly 50%, to require placement of garbage cans on one side of streets and to explore posting weight-limit signs and establishing a truck-route designation.
Council did not adopt a formal ordinance or sign placement at the May 5 meeting; the action taken was to instruct staff to research feasible measures and return recommendations. The concern and the council’s direction are recorded in SEG 002.
