Council approves 50% reduction on resident’s water overage, adds clerk relief language

The Wales Town Council voted to reduce a water bill overage for resident Valentin Franco by 50% or $47.45, whichever applies. The motion was made by Councilmember David Larson and seconded by Mayor James Roberts; the council voted unanimously in favor (Mayor Roberts, Clawson, Larson, Smith).
Council also agreed to add wording to the town ordinance that would allow town clerks to issue this relief administratively if the leak is repaired in a timely manner, so future relief need not come before the full council.
