Superintendent Nicole Lindsey updated the board on safety tools, student programs and upcoming training. She said the county office has been using the Titan HST app for lockdown drills and emergency check‑ins and that recent use during an earthquake showed the tool was useful for staff and student safety checks.
Lindsey also praised a recent mock‑trial scrimmage that included Lake and Mendocino County schools and encouraged board members to attend the high‑school competition in February. She noted CSBA's Good Beginnings training for new board members and said she will email dates to remaining board members so the event can be placed on the board calendar. "It's really been helpful, for our student programs, for our staff", Lindsey said of the safety app.
