County office highlights holiday gift drive for homeless and foster students

Staff announced a holiday support effort for homeless and foster students and invited board members and community members to sponsor gifts. Nicole Lindsey noted flyers and gift tags in the foyer and asked attendees to sign up to provide either specific gifts or gift cards; the initiative is organized by the county office's foster/homeless department.

Nicole Lindsey said many toy and item requests have already been claimed but several students remain on lists that request gift cards or unclaimed tags. She encouraged board members to stop by the foyer after the meeting to select a gift tag or sign up to contribute, and said the outpouring of support from staff and the community has been heartwarming.
