At the start of its Jan. 8 regular meeting, Arlington ISD trustees and administrative staff participated in a workshop on student enrollment trends and campus facilities. Bob Templeton led the enrollment portion of the workshop, reviewing multi-year trends and comparisons with other Texas districts.
Assistant Superintendent of Facility Services Kelly Horn previewed the district's Facility Conditions Assessment and Education Adequacy findings, laying groundwork for subsequent discussions about individual campuses including Blanton Elementary. The workshop served as an informational briefing; no formal action was taken during the session.
Board President Justin Chapa called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m., and the workshop preceded an evening closed session and later public discussion.
