Principals report on field trips, safety drills and upcoming events; high school volleyball wins

Building administrators gave routine reports on activities and upcoming events at the Oct. 14 Beckville ISD board meeting. Emily Wood said October activities include fire prevention week, a 4th-grade visit to Panola College and upcoming red ribbon week; she also said parent conferences went well.
Bryan Stagner described a 7th-grade field trip to the Caddo Indian Grounds and academic UIL tryouts; he said the trip "really put things in perspective for them." Superintendent Devin Tate provided event dates: cross-country regionals on Oct. 21 in Huntsville, an 8th-grade fall preview at Panola College next Wednesday and the Under the Harvest Moon Carnival on Oct. 25. Kin Bryan reported on volleyball, saying, "We won 25 to 20 in the fourth game."
