The Beckville ISD Board approved the ESL program annual evaluation required under Texas Education Code §29.053 at its Oct. 14 meeting. Superintendent Devin Tate introduced the item and Loretta Blair presented details about staff certification status.
Blair told trustees that "we only have three teachers left to get certified," noting the district is waiting for those teachers to complete certification before they are fully ESL-certified. Mr. Tate also singled out Mackynna Evers, saying she is "doing a wonderful job with the ESL program." Trustees approved the evaluation by motion from Tim Jones, seconded by Clayton McGuire.
