Beckville ISD recognizes coach, teachers and staff with "Above and Beyond" awards

During the Oct. 14 regular meeting, Beckville Independent School District principals presented "Above and Beyond" awards to three staff members for their contributions to students and school operations.
Kin Bryan of the high school presented Coach Ronny Grandgeorge, noting his early-morning cross-country practices, bus-driving duties, role as head coach for softball and assistance with volleyball and a full teaching load. Bryan said of Grandgeorge, "He does all this without any complaints!" At the junior high, Bryan Stagner presented Veronica Wilkerson for her instruction in English and Texas history and for mentoring the ELA team; the minutes record, "Her STAAR scores were great!" Emily Wood presented Mindy Chamness from the elementary campus, citing custodial work, substitute support and library assistance.
