Vice President Patrick Harris called the Beckville Independent School District Board of Trustees to order at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday for a special meeting and public hearing. Superintendent Devin Tate presented the proposed 2025–26 general fund budget of $9,671,500.00, a proposed cafeteria budget of $250,000.00, and a proposed 2025 tax rate composed of an M&O rate of $0.61890 and an I&S rate of $0.23015, for a combined total rate of $0.84905 to fund the budgets.
Tate reported those figures to the board during the public hearing and the minutes note that "There were no community members present." After the presentation and hearing, Trustee Clayton McGuire moved to adjourn; Trustee Katie Jo Davis seconded the motion and the board adjourned at 6:25 p.m. on a unanimous vote.
