Beaumont ISD expands threat-assessment training after fewer bullying reports, official says

Valdez said safety teams are in place on all but two campuses and that about 100 employees have completed threat-assessment training; the district aims to have roughly 170 staff trained by January. She described plans to broaden training to students, teachers, parents and the wider community, including outreach at games and via district television programming.
Valdez framed the training expansion as a preventive measure tied to reduced reported bullying and as part of ongoing efforts to ensure referral and assessment capacity across campuses.
