Board renews Palacios MOU to continue BCISD 18 Plus (BRIDGES) partnership

The Bay City ISD Board voted Nov. 17 to renew and update a memorandum of understanding with Palacios ISD relating to the district's 18 Plus (BRIDGES) program. Assistant Superintendent Richard Halle described the neighboring‑district arrangement and the board approved the renewal. The motion, made by Lora Beth Robicheaux and seconded by Priscilla Robinson, passed 6–0 with one trustee absent.
Halle said the MOU supports collaboration between districts to provide services and coursework for students in the 18 Plus program; trustees did not request additional funding for the renewal during the meeting. The approved renewal is intended to preserve access and continuity for participating students.
