Elementary Principal Mrs. Cruddas reported elementary enrollment at 197 students and highlighted student growth on MAP assessments with continuing instructional focus on reading, math and science; she also reviewed completed and upcoming field trips and end-of-year activities including Field Day. Secondary Principal Dr. Hernandez reported secondary enrollment steady at 212, that STAAR testing had been completed and MAP testing was nearing completion, and previewed graduation‑related events and senior activities.
The board recognized a group of students and staff as Bulldogs of the Month. Secondary recognitions included Hallie Pierce and Jimmy Baker; secondary staff recognition named Emily Ramirez, a recent Abilene Christian University graduate who will serve as a secondary classroom teacher. Elementary recognitions included Aliyah Robinson and Thelma Rose. Trustees and administrators thanked staff and community supporters during the recognition portion of the meeting.
