Monk reported that 71.75% of Bastrop ISD students meet one or more At‑Risk indicators and reviewed STAAR performance trends for At‑Risk students. She described SCE‑funded supports used by the district, including intervention services, tutoring, emergent bilingual support, credit recovery, class‑size reduction, Genesis HS, Gateway, campus behavior supports and summer school. Board members and attendees were allowed to ask questions during the public hearing, which closed at 6:07 p.m.
The presentation framed SCE programs as a targeted mechanism to direct supplemental funding and interventions to students with documented risk indicators.
