Bastrop ISD trustees unanimously approve RFP awards, audit and budget amendments

The Bastrop Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Jan. 20 to approve a multi-item consent agenda that included three competitive procurement awards, tax refunds, the district’s Federal Single Audit report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, and general fund budget amendments.
The approved contracts listed on the agenda were: General Electric Supplies, Equipment & Services (RFP #BA03-2024); Program Support Goods & Services (RFP #BA07-2025); and Special Education Instructional and Support Services (RFP #BA06-2025). Trustee Dr. Matthew Mix moved to approve the consent agenda and Vice‑President Chris M. Dillon seconded; the board voted by show of hands with all seven trustees recorded as 'Yea.' MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Board materials also showed approval of tax refunds and an accepted Federal Single Audit report for FY 2024–25. The board designated certain 2027 non-business days for public information purposes and approved several general fund budget amendments intended to align spending with updated revenues and obligations.
