The Bartlett ISD Board voted 4–2 to delegate hiring authority to Superintendent Dr. Clevenger until the August 2026 board meeting to allow timely summer staffing; trustees requested that the board be informed of hiring recommendations. The motion passed with Sheri Braun, Steven Wentrcek, Pablo Solorio and Nicole Sharp in favor and Stephanie Martinka and Josh Spiegelhauer opposed.
The Board entered executive session under Texas Government Code §551.074, §551.129 and §551.0821 to discuss personnel matters, legal consultation, a budget workshop and a possible superintendent resignation. The Board reconvened at 10:52 p.m. and took no public action on items discussed in executive session.
