Trustees approve moving two 2024 note payments to December, agree to publish $1.16 proposed tax rate

The Bartlett ISD Board voted to authorize restructuring the payment schedule for both the Time Warrant Note, Series 2024 and the Maintenance Tax Note, Series 2024, moving payment dates from June to December to improve cash flow and allow those payments to be included in the next fiscal year budget. Both restructuring motions passed 4–2; trustees Sheri Braun, Steven Wentrcek, Pablo Solorio and Nicole Sharp voted in favor while Stephanie Martinka and Josh Spiegelhauer opposed.
Separately, the board voted unanimously to publish a proposed tax rate of $1.16 for public notice, made up of $0.66 for Maintenance & Operations and $0.50 for Interest & Sinking pending final property value information. The board set June 18, 2026 as the public hearing date for the proposed budget and tax rate.
