Barbers Hill board adopts 2025–26 Student Code of Conduct

The Barbers Hill ISD Board approved the 2025–26 Student Code of Conduct at its Aug. 25 meeting following a presentation by Executive Director of Student Services Mandy Malone.
Malone told trustees that the Code of Conduct provides parents with information on standards of student behavior, disciplinary consequences and procedures as required by Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code. On a motion by Eric Davis, seconded by Clint Pipes, the board passed the code unanimously.
The minutes record the board's motion as passed 7–0; the approved Code of Conduct will be the district reference for discipline and is a requirement for compliance with state law.
