The minutes record that Midway USA Foundation requested a $2,517 donation to be used for the shooting team; BH Athletic Booster Club requested $35,417.08 for athletics; and ExxonMobil requested a $50,000 donation to be used for a mobile STEM bus serving K–8 campuses. The minutes note policy CDC (Local) permits the superintendent to accept unsolicited gifts, but gifts conditional on specific uses or of real property require board approval. The board accepted the donations as presented.
Director of School Nutrition Adeena Henning presented the RFP and staff recommendation to purchase two combi ovens, one pass‑thru heated cabinet and one ice machine from Kommercial Kitchens at an estimated total cost of $63,585. The planning and facilities department will share in the cost for DAEP equipment intended to remain when the campus transitions to Pre‑K. Trustees approved the procurement unanimously.
