District awards plumbing services contracts to two firms after RFP review
Summary
Following an RFP process (26-002), the board approved multiple awards to Blackmon Plumbing Services and SC Plumbing Services to provide districtwide maintenance and repair plumbing services on an as-needed basis.
Executive Director of Planning & Facilities Patrick Hendricks said Barbers Hill ISD solicited Requests for Proposals (RFP 26-002) for plumbing services and received two proposals. After evaluating competence, qualifications and pricing, Hendricks recommended awarding multiple contracts to Blackmon Plumbing Services and SC Plumbing Services to provide maintenance and plumbing repair services districtwide on an as-needed basis.
Trustee Becky Tice moved to approve the multiple award under RFP 26-002 and Trustee Fred Skinner seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The contracts are intended to ensure routine and emergency plumbing work can be completed across campuses under the pricing and terms established in the RFP.
