The Barbers Hill ISD Board approved a four-year contract Oct. 27 with Vista Higher Learning to provide standards-aligned instructional materials for Languages Other Than English (LOTE). Assistant Superintendent Chloe Yowell recommended the purchase; state program funds will pay the contract's costs.
The total contract fee is $56,149.50 for the four-year term, and the district will be in the first year of the curriculum contract for 2025–26. Trustee Becky Tice moved to approve the purchase and Trustee Benny May seconded; the motion passed 7-0.
