The Barbers Hill ISD Board approved acceptance of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the DAEP Renovations Project on Sept. 22. Executive Director of Planning & Facilities Patrick Hendricks presented subcontractor pricing and the recommended GMP. The materials show a GMP of $4,286,884, CM general conditions and fees included, and soft costs of $713,000 for a total project cost of $4,999,884; Trustee Becky Tice moved to accept the proposed total GMP and soft costs and the motion passed 7-0.
Hendricks' presentation noted subcontractor pricing was received Sept. 4 and Purcell Construction completed the evaluation of pricing and scope. The board's action authorizes the district to proceed on the DAEP renovations under a Construction Manager at Risk delivery method using the presented GMP pricing.
