The Barbers Hill ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda unanimously, approving minutes from Jan. 26, the January 2026 financial report, TEKS certification for 2026'027, an agreement for mosquito spraying on district property, and acceptance of a $1,500 cash donation from Old River Baptist Church conditioned for students identified by the district social worker. Trustee Benny May moved to approve the consent agenda "as presented," and Trustee Clint Pipes seconded; the motion passed 7'0.
DEIC-recommended Calendar Option A was adopted for the 2026'027 school year after staff and community input via an online survey and discussion at the Feb. 19 DEIC meeting. The TEKS certification item was presented to confirm the district's access to instructional materials and compliance with the Children's Internet Protection Act for required subjects. The consent agenda was acted on as a block; no individual item was pulled for separate discussion during open session.
