Ballinger ISD cancels Nov. 4 school board election after candidates run unopposed

Jason Strube, Board Trustee, moved that the board certify that candidates for Single Member Districts 2 and 7 are unopposed in the Nov. 4, 2025 School Board Election; Michelle Aguilera seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
After certification, the board voted to cancel the Nov. 4 election for Ballinger ISD because the seats in question had unopposed candidates. The motion to cancel was moved by Jason Strube and seconded by Stephen King; the board recorded a unanimous vote to cancel the election. The agenda notes that attachments supporting the certification and cancellation were provided to trustees.
