County clerk to mail vote-by-mail postcards; IVRS reimbursements reported

County Clerk & Recorder Tina Dolder told the Putnam County Board on Aug. 12, 2024, that her office collected $34,484.94 in revenue for July and has received $19,466.73 in reimbursements from the Illinois Voter Registration System to date (a $10,146.00 reimbursement recorded in July and an additional $9,320.73 to be reported in August). She also said the county's new website is live and that officials will be able to update their sections.
Dolder said election-related postcards notifying registered voters they have the option to vote by mail will be mailed next week and include "a box to check if you would like to opt out of receiving vote-by-mail information." She urged residents who do not want vote-by-mail information for every election to opt out to save the county money. Dolder also noted receipt of a lightning-strike insurance check related to an earlier sheriff's report.
