Putnam County treasurer reports July balances, reminds taxpayers of Sept. 6 deadline

County Treasurer Kevin Kunkel presented the July financial report to the Putnam County Board on Aug. 12, 2024. He reported General Fund income for July FY2024 of $255,671.69, compared with $298,910.82 in July FY2023, and year-to-date FY2024 revenues of $2,713,782.19 versus expenses of $2,544,789.23, leaving a net of $168,992.96.
Kunkel also provided account balances: General Fund $27,503.20; General Fund Savings $733,477.43; Illinois Fund - General Fund $1,987,213.51. He reminded the board and public that "the 2nd installment of property taxes is due September 6, 2024." No board action on budget adjustments was taken at the meeting.
