Arlington High School orchestra performs; Board honored with proclamation for School Board Recognition Month

The Arlington High School Symphony Orchestra performed 'Mystical Mage' under the direction of Dr. Kris Chapman and the minutes note students will travel to Orlando this spring to record as part of the Disney Imagination Campus Soundtrack Sessions. The performance occurred during the opening recognitions portion of the Jan. 22 meeting.
City of Arlington Mayor Pro Tempore Dr. Barbara Odom‑Wesley presented the Board of Trustees with a proclamation recognizing January 2026 as School Board Recognition Month. Erin Williams, an art teacher at Williams Elementary, and eight students presented artwork to the trustees and Superintendent Dr. Smith in celebration of the Board's service.
