The Atlanta Independent School District Board accepted the superintendent's recommendation to approve the Region VIII contracts for 2025–2026 and separately approved a bank depository contract with State Bank for 2025–2027. Joel Steger moved approval of the Region VIII contracts, seconded by Arlistel Maxie; that motion carried 6-0 with one absence. Keri Richardson moved approval of the bank depository contract and Lauren Giesler seconded; the board approved the bank contract with five votes in favor, one abstention (Tyler Johnson) and one absence.
The Region VIII contracts will continue the district's participation in regional services for the 2025–2026 year. The bank depository contract was approved for a two-year term; the minutes record the contracting bank as "State Bank." District staff will complete contract documentation and file it with board records.
