Arlington ISD board approves 2026–27 academic calendar

The Arlington Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 7–0 Jan. 22 to approve the 2026–2027 academic calendar. The motion to approve was made by Trustee David Wilbanks and seconded by Trustee Larry Mike.
District materials say a second round of feedback was collected in December through Thought Exchange; the Calendar Committee reviewed that input and incorporated recommended updates into the revised calendar presented to the Board. The motion recorded "Voting For: 7 Voting Against: 0." The adopted calendar will be used for planning the next school year.
