Board welcomes Caitlin Crossett and selects volunteer to chair advisory committee

Chair introduced Caitlin Crossett as the newest board member appointed by the City of Asheville to fill an unexpired term; Crossett thanked the board and said she expects to learn from members and focus on climate-related matters.
"I'm not quite the air quality expert that Evan is, but I'm really looking forward to learning from all of you," Crossett said, describing her background in climatology and life-climate topics and noting her role at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. The board also marked a staff transition: Betsy's retirement was recognized and staff welcomed Hannah Rhodes, the new air quality administrative coordinator who will overlap with Betsy for roughly three weeks to transfer duties.
On advisory committee leadership, Ned volunteered to chair the advisory committee after Evan Fuso's departure; the board welcomed Ned and invited Caitlin to participate to retain the UNCA connection. The board set its next regular meeting for March 18 at 4 p.m., subject to room availability.
