Beckville ISD trustees honored during School Board Recognition Month

Superintendent Devin Tate opened the Beckville Independent School District Board of Trustees' Jan. 12 meeting by announcing that January is School Board Recognition Month and thanking trustees for their service. Representatives from district campuses presented each board member with a library book and handwritten letters; Mr. Tate also noted the culinary class prepared the evening meal for the board. "January was School Board Recognition month and I would like to express my gratitude to the school board," he said.
Campus representatives told trustees the books will be kept in the high school library and shared with students. Kin Bryan, Emily Wood and Bryan Stagner each offered brief remarks of appreciation for board members' visibility at school events and their decision-making on district matters. The presentations were purely ceremonial and required no board action; trustees then moved on to the meeting's scheduled business.
