At the Oct. 14 Bartlett I.S.D. board meeting, Business Manager Lisa Luna was recognized for her service to the district in observance of Texas Education Human Resources Day. The board also recognized secondary staff member Francisco Avalos as Bulldog of the Month and named juniors Makaela Russell and Jay Garcia as Secondary Student Bulldogs of the Month for October.
Avalos was noted for seven years with the district, contributions in special education and ESL services, and for coaching cross country and boys' basketball; the cross country team is advancing to regionals. Russell and Garcia were recognized for leadership and extracurricular achievements, including NHS and FFA roles and participation in athletics and dual-credit courses.
