The Barbers Hill ISD Board of Trustees on Jan. 26 approved the Notice of Trustee Election and related documents for a trustee election to be held May 2, 2026. Assistant Superintendent of Finance Becky McManus told the board the election will be a joint election with the City of Mont Belvieu and Chambers County and noted key dates: the last day to apply for a place on the ballot is Feb. 13; early voting begins April 20; canvass of results is scheduled for May 11.
McManus listed early voting and Election Day locations, including the Barbers Hill ISD Community Election Center (9650 Eagle Drive, Mont Belvieu), Judge Larry Cryer Annex (7711 Highway 146, Baytown), Chambers Health Services (102 Airport Road, Anahuac) and Juanita Hargraves Library (108 Fear Road, Winnie). The board approved the documents and agreements related to the joint election by unanimous vote among members present.
“On May 2, 2026, we will have a joint election with the City of Mont Belvieu and Chambers County,” the minutes record; the motion to approve the documents passed 6–0.
