Assistant Superintendent of Finance Becky McManus told trustees the project must be located in a reinvestment zone to comply with Chapter 313 of the Tax Code.
The motion to approve the resolution was made by Trustee Eric Davis, seconded by Trustee Becky Tice, and passed 6–0 with one trustee absent. The transcript records that the City of Mont Belvieu earlier approved a related zone five years ago and the prior zone had expired. The renewal allows the project to proceed under Chapter 313 compliance requirements.
“Enterprise Products has asked that the District renew the existing Reinvestment Zone for project #1909,” the minutes record; the motion to approve the resolution passed without recorded opposition.
