At its Jan. 20, 2026 regular meeting, the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included minutes, donations, general operating checks and financial reports, adjunct approvals, a board resolution related to SB 11 regarding a period of prayer and reading of the Bible and other religious texts during the school day, and an MOU with McMurry University.
Board Secretary Matt Slaton moved "that the Board approve consent items as presented." The motion was seconded by Rich McDowell and carried 7–0 (Sam Slaton Yea; Craig Hawkesworth Yea; Matt Slaton Yea; Dr. Leona McDade Yea; Josh Westrom Yea; Leigh Ann Artho Yea; Rich McDowell Yea).
