Trustee Tonya Becker moved that the board adopt a resolution declaring the property and improvements known as Big Spring ISD's Anderson D.A.E.P. campus, at 229 Airbase Road, Big Spring, Texas, as surplus and to authorize its sale. Trustee Julie Harris seconded the motion, and it carried 5-0.
The resolution describes the parcel as "10 acres out of and a part of Section No. 2, Block No. 33, Township 1-South, T. & P. Railway Company Surveys, Howard County, Texas." The motion empowers the superintendent or his designee to provide required public notice, solicit offers to purchase the property "as is," and to retain all mineral rights belonging to the district. No timetable or proposed sale price is recorded in the minutes.
