The Bosqueville Independent School District Board of Trustees on Feb. 19 unanimously voted not to adopt a statutory resolution related to Senate Bill 11, a recommendation presented to the board during its regular meeting.
"Recommendation to NOT adopt the statutory resolution related to Senate Bill 11 as Presented by Mr. Skeeler," the minutes record. The motion to decline adoption was made by Lance Donaldson and seconded by Heath Jackson; trustees Jeff Bird, David McNamara, Lance Donaldson, Christie Harper, Michael Devorsky and Heath Jackson voted yes. The board recorded the vote as unanimous.
The recommendation was introduced in the meeting's agenda under action items. Mr. Skeeler presented the item to the board and the trustees debated the recommendation before voting; the meeting minutes do not record extended public comment or amendments to the motion. The board did not adopt a competing resolution and no follow-up vote was scheduled at the time the meeting adjourned.
