The Bells ISD Board of Trustees met Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at the Bells High School Fieldhouse Media Room. President Matt Stephens called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the board recorded attendance and staff present for the regular meeting.
The board approved routine consent items — minutes, donations, and the financial report — by a unanimous 6–0 vote after a motion by Cole Kimberling and a second from Jeremy Moore. The board also approved a fuel and oil bid from McCraw Oil for the 2025–2026 school year and authorized the purchase of an additional concrete drive in front of the Pritchard Ag Barn not to exceed $200,000.
Administrators provided reports on accountability, a reading intervention plan and library policy, and enrollment and events across campuses. Superintendent Josh Weger reviewed district strategic priorities and standing items including TexPool account summaries, utilities, and transportation. The transcript records the topics presented but does not include detailed content of those presentations in the public record.
The agenda included a personnel item, and the board announced it would convene in executive session under the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Gov't Code §551.074) for personnel matters. No public details of personnel actions or votes were recorded. The meeting adjourned at 8:59 p.m. following a 6–0 vote to adjourn.
