Board approves employee insurance and temporary maintenance stipends
Summary
Trustees approved an end-of-year employee insurance stipend and a temporary $1,000 monthly stipend for two maintenance supervisors for Oct.–Dec.; student meal pricing was tabled to November.
During the consent agenda the board approved a BISD Employee Insurance Stipend / End-of-Year compensation stipend as presented by Mr. Skeeler. The motion to approve the insurance/EOY stipend was made by Heath Jackson and seconded by David McNamara; the minutes record unanimous approval with Lance Donaldson absent.
Separately, the board approved an additional $1,000 monthly stipend for Michael Lamere and Billy McCorkle for October, November and December to cover additional maintenance supervisor duties. Michael Devorsky moved the maintenance stipend motion and Heath Jackson seconded; approval was recorded unanimous with one member absent. The board tabled consideration of student/adult meal prices until the November regular meeting.
