The Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Jan. 12 to approve a package of procurement and policy items, including VATRE purchases and two waivers.
Board President Payton Lumpkin called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. and the board moved through the consent agenda during the Superintendent's reports. "Motion Carries: 7-0 All Those in Favor: Lumpkin, Schneck, Hickman, Small, Thompson, Bradley, Neill All Those Opposed: None" was recorded after the VATRE purchases motion, which was made by Mrs. Gabriela Small and seconded by Mr. Devon Thompson.
Trustees next approved a Staff Development Waiver on a motion by Mrs. Cyndee Hickman, seconded by Mr. Eric Schneck, and a Dual Credit Waiver on a motion by Mr. Schneck, seconded by Mrs. Hickman; both motions carried 7-0. Mr. Keegan Neill then moved — and Mr. Devon Thompson seconded — approval of Consent Agenda items 1–5 (which include minutes, dates to review, payroll, disbursements and donations); that motion also passed 7-0.
The votes recorded at the meeting show full, unanimous support for the listed consent items. No trustees opposed or abstained from the recorded votes.
