Brownsboro ISD trustees approve consent agenda and advance multiple LOCAL policy updates on first reading

The Brownsboro Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved a consent agenda at its Dec. 8, 2025 meeting, moving forward first readings of numerous LOCAL policy updates. Trustee Greg Wyatt moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Larry Tedford seconded; the motion passed 6–0 with Trustees Michele Blackmon, Marsha Stephens, Larry Tedford, Greg Wyatt, Rusty Herrington and Ronda Cade voting in favor.
The consent agenda bundled routine items — the Nov. 10 regular meeting minutes, monthly tax collections and the monthly financial report — with policy first readings affecting local governance and operations. Policies advanced on first reading included BE (LOCAL) Board Meetings, BED (LOCAL) Board Meetings: Public Participation, CQB (LOCAL) Technology Resources: Cybersecurity, CQD (LOCAL) Technology Resources: Artificial Intelligence, EHBAF (LOCAL) Special Education: Video/Audio Monitoring, and several student- and employee-related LOCAL policies. Because these were first readings, the policies were placed on the board’s track for subsequent consideration and any public comment or formal adoption at a later meeting.
Board President Michele Blackmon presided over the action. The approval of the bundled consent items means district staff will proceed with next steps required for final adoption where applicable, including any required public posting or subsequent votes at future meetings.
