The Nov. 10 Brock ISD board meeting featured a series of campus recognitions highlighting teachers, student groups and extracurricular achievements.

Shaw recognized Life Skills and Functional Academics staff at intermediate and junior high levels for inclusive programming that allows students to participate in fine arts and campus activities.
Ranae Lane also introduced the Brock Intermediate Theater Club volunteers Becky Cave and Kelly Clements; students Max and Alex provided a synopsis of the upcoming play "A Light in the Library." Mark Sullivan and FFA Advisor Kayla Horton reported that Brock FFA has 533 members and celebrated the program's first National Championship during Sullivan's tenure. Student Reyse Mabry presented her research on meat tenderness and stated that "certain seasonings, such as H-E-B seasoning, affected the results."
Eric Sams introduced Matt Daily, who reported that the Music of Brock earned its ninth First Division rating at the Regional Marching Band Contest and advanced to Area. Shayla Allman described HOSA activities and highlighted a campus blood drive that "collected 57 pints of blood." Trustees acknowledged the campus achievements and congratulated students and staff; no board action was required for these recognitions.
