Board extends teacher and counselor pay scales to 40 years, adopts T-TESS changes

The board approved a set of personnel and appraisal actions Oct. 20. Trustees voted to revise the 2025–26 teacher and counselor/librarian/nurse pay scales to extend salary steps to 40 years of service. The motion carried 6-0.
The board also approved changes to local policies to return to T-TESS as the district appraisal system (policy DNA(LOCAL)) and approved 2025–26 T-TESS certified appraisers. Lacy Kimball moved to approve revised policy FN(LOCAL) and later moved approval of the T-TESS certified appraisers; all motions passed unanimously.
