Brock ISD construction updates: student center, intermediate campus, traffic signal and water tank

Reeder Construction and district staff reported progress on the Multipurpose Student Center and completion of the new Intermediate campus; TXDOT traffic signal adjustments and a 5,000-gallon onsite water tank solution were discussed and approved by the Fire Marshal.
Raj Patel of Reeder Construction updated the Board on the Multipurpose Student Center: foundation footings and site paving preparations are underway, water lines and fire department connections have been installed, the fire lane should be finished by month-end, and the metal building is scheduled to arrive soon. Patel also presented recent photos of the completed Intermediate campus: playground equipment, landscaping, interior furnishings and the storm shelter were shown; canopies and the basketball court were near completion.
Assistant Superintendent Troy Roberts briefed trustees on traffic and water issues tied to the new Intermediate campus. He said TXDOT has extended the left-turn signal from FM 1189 to Eagle Spirit Lane and will conduct a visual review after school resumes, with a meeting anticipated in October. On water, Roberts reported the onsite tank solution provides "5,000 gallons plus surplus storage" and was approved by the Fire Marshal; contingency construction funds covered the additional cost.
