Bridge City ISD board approves consent items and 2026–27 instructional calendar

President Rebecca Rutledge presided over the Bridge City Independent School District Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 25, 2026, where trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda covering minutes, tax collection, cash investments, the financial report, paid invoices, budget amendments, utilities and surplus.
Trustee Paul Zoch moved to approve the consent items and Trustee Mike Johnson seconded; the motion passed with all trustees — Rutledge, Cole, Zoch, Hill, Anderson, Johnson and Mclnnis — voting in favor and no dissent. The board then considered the 2026–27 instructional calendar. A motion by Zoch, seconded by Johnson, to adopt the calendar likewise passed unanimously.
The actions formalize administrative and financial housekeeping for the district ahead of the next school year and provide the calendar framework for campuses and families. No dissenting objections or substantive amendments were recorded during the public meeting.
