The Brooks County ISD Board of Trustees moved several tax-sale property items earlier in the Feb. 18 meeting and voted to accept multiple bids presented by the finance director.
Finance Director Alissa Sanchez presented the offers. The board accepted a $500 bid for Lots 23 and 24 in La Colonia Mexicana, a $2,600 bid for Lot 10 in the Maupin Addition, a $3,400 bid for Lot 12 in the Rachal Addition, a $500 bid for the north half of Lot 1 in the Maupin Addition, and a $70,000 bid for Lots 1 and 2 in the Littlefield Addition. The combined accepted offers total $77,000. Each motion was recorded as approved "All in favor" with a 7-0 tally.
The items were presented at the request of Linebarger (local tax counsel) so its traveling representative could be present. No public objections were recorded during the approvals.
