Brenham High students honored as National Merit Commended Scholars; TAFE chapter reports area success

Teacher Heather Caldas (S7) and student officers Bridget Orianna Martell (S10) and Isabella Clover (S12) described the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) pathway, which offers a four‑course CTE sequence and dual‑credit opportunities with Blinn College. The chapter sent 29 competitors to the Area 5 conference; Isabella Clover reported that the area conference included over 600 competitors representing 25 high schools and that 20 Brenham competitors qualified for the Teach Tomorrow Summit. Principal Watts encouraged students to consider returning to Brenham ISD as teachers in the future.
