The board reviewed bids from multiple banks under the Texas Education Agency's standard depository packet and the evaluation team recommended Brenham National Bank based on interest offerings and no‑charge services for required recordkeeping.
CFO Sinclair explained the district solicited bids from several banks and received three timely offers; an evaluation matrix scored interest rate and service features. He said Brenham National Bank offered the best combination of rate and services and recommended renewing a two‑year contract. A trustee made a motion to accept that bid and the board approved the recommendation.
The approved contract would run from Sept. 1, 2025, through Aug. 31, 2027, and staff said they will continue to monitor banking relationships and fee schedules in future procurement cycles.
