Arts Commission assigns committees and hears summer project updates

In project updates, staff said they received four applications for the cultural-facilities grant program and that artwork maintenance is underway (25–30 works scheduled for summer cleaning). Staff reported eight proposals in response to a performing-arts validation-study RFP, completion of a mural in Bel-Red, and that the Factoria call received 153 applicants; staff confirmed the commission will not meet in August and reconvene on Sept. 2.
